H3N2 is a subtype of influenza A. Influenza viruses mutate frequently, and H3N2 causes seasonal flu of varying severity.

H3N2 spreads through contamination caused by coughs and sneezes and some environmental surfaces. Use of indoor shared spaces increases risk of spreading.

With H3N2 please be check for sudden high fever, sore throat, runny nose, tiredness or fatigue, headache, and muscle pain. In general, if symptoms last or worsen beyond a few days, please seek out medical care.

Children, seniors, and individuals with asthma, diabetes, and heart disease have limited immune function and are thus more vulnerable.

Wash your hands frequently, wear a mask in large crowds, avoid contact with sick people, ventilate the area, and isolate if you have symptoms.

If your fever remains high and trouble breathing, chest pains, blue lips, or confusion arise, seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Get plenty of rest and hydrate frequently. For high temperature, fever-reducing medicine may be appropriate but always consult doctor before starting any medication. With severe cases or early in disease onset, doctors may prescribe an anti-viral medication.
