H3N2 is a subtype of influenza A. Influenza viruses mutate frequently, and H3N2 causes seasonal flu of varying severity.

H3N2 spreads through contamination caused by coughs and sneezes and some environmental surfaces. Use of indoor shared spaces increases risk of spreading.
