It can be detected early by studying prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels in blood serum. A PSA test should be done annually, particularly if one has a family history of prostate cancer or has experienced urinary symptoms.

The term "silent killer" describes high blood pressure. It is critical to monitor a man's blood pressure regularly so that hypertension can be identified early to prevent heart attacks, stroke, or kidney failure.

A cholesterol level and a fasting blood glucose can show early signs of cardiovascular disease and diabetes both very common health risks among Indian men over 40 years of age.

LFT screen for liver enzymes and can identify early indicators of fatty liver & other liver disease. Liver risk is of particular importance in men with alcohol use, obesity, or diabetes.

KFT should be done on a regular basis to show early signs of kidney stress or failure. High creatinine levels or raised urea levels can point to chronic kidney disease which often remains silent until it is too late.

An abdominal ultrasound or stool occult blood tests should be able to diagnose colon polyps, colon cancer, and fatty liver, which are all becoming more common in men above the age of 40.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is performed, & a treadmill test to assess for heart rhythm & blood flow. They can also be used to find blockages or detect heart diseases.

Low testosterone can affect energy, libido, and muscle mass. Hormonal testing will also help with fatigue, mood changes, or metabolic changes for men over 40.

Don’t wait until you have a symptom showing up. Testing ahead of time saves lives and improves your quality of life. If you are 40 and up, you should be making these annual screenings a priority.
