Always say "no" when your child would like to do something unsafe, like walk onto the street, or play with sharp objects. Safety is more important than freedom.

Frequently children will demand excessive toys or things that have only been purchased simply because a friend bought it. A well-placed "No" will teach them money matters, being grateful and being happy with what they have.

It's important to demonstrate discipline to your children around routines. A firm "No" will allow us to monitor their sleep time, keep a schedule and help them to focus better at school.

When saying "No" to your children, you are not being a mean parent, you are being a responsible parent. Children look to their parents for guidance. Boundaries teach children discipline, self control & emotional resilience.
