If a supplement claims to give you instant results or "cure all diseases," this is a huge warning sign. Safe supplements will not over promise.

If there is no dosage information, you cannot keep track of a safe intake. This can result in underdosing (ineffective) or overdosing (harmful to your health).

Trusted supplements identify third-party lab testing to confirm safety and purity. You cannot take a company or manufacturer at their word if the supplement is not third-party tested.

Be cautious of vague phrases such as "proprietary blend." This phrase allows manufacturers to hide the quantities of ingredients of the ingredients contained in the proprietary blend. It is also difficult to assess if and how these ingredients are safe participate in a recommended dosage.

There may be fake or vague quality certifications. Look for authentic seals of quality such as GMP or USP, which have more rigorous guidelines.

Always read your supplement labels carefully. Choose brands that you trust with clear and concise laboratory claims, provide third party testing, and clear dosage details one the label, in order to be confident the supplements are safe for your health.
