Take 5–8 raw almonds and place them in a bowl. Add enough water to fully cover them and let them sit for 8–12 hours (often overnight).

Soaked almonds become soft and easier to chew. This may reduce strain on your digestive system. Some people with sensitive digestion may tolerate soaked versus raw ones better.

Almonds have been linked to better cholesterol profiles (lower LDL, higher HDL). They may also help with blood sugar control, thanks to their fiber, healthy fats, and magnesium.
