3 homemade kadha recipes for immunity & warmth

1. Traditional Immunity-strengthening  Kadha

2 cups of water, 1-inch piece of crushed ginger, 5–6 tulsi leaves, ½ teaspoon black pepper, 1-inch cinnamon stick, 2 cloves, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon honey (optional).

Ingredients

Bring all ingredients except the honey to a boil in 2 cups of water and simmer until the liquid has reduced to 1 cup. Strain the mixture, allow it to cool slightly, then add honey if desired. Drink while warm.

 2. Cough & Cold Soothing Kadha

1 tablespoon coriander seeds, 1 teaspoon fennel seeds, 1 teaspoon ajwain seeds, 4 black peppercorns, 1-inch crushed ginger, 1.5 cups water, a pinch of rock salt, jaggery or honey (optional).

Boil all ingredients except the sweetener in 1.5 cups of water until the volume decreases to ¾ cup. Strain and add jaggery or honey if preferred. Consume warm.

3. Lemon & Tulsi Detox Kadha (for Daily Consumption)

10 tulsi leaves, ½ teaspoon grated ginger, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 2 cups water, juice of half a lemon, honey or jaggery (optional).

Ingredients

Boil tulsi leaves, ginger, and turmeric in water for 5 to 7 minutes. Let it cool slightly, then stir in lemon juice and sweetener if desired. Drink warm.
