What is Glucose Challenge Test, Pregnancy DIPSI ,75g Glucose, 2hrs?
Glucose Challenge Test, Pregnancy DIPSI ,75g Glucose, 2hrs is done during pregnancy to screen for gestational diabetes, which is a type of diabetes that develops during pregnancy. The test works by measuring the body's response to glucose after two hours of ingestion of 75 g glucose (flavored or plain, bought from a nearby pharmacy) irrespective of the meal timings. You have to take 75 g glucose with water and your blood sample will be collected 2 hours after drinking this. Do not eat or drink anything during this duration. This test does not require overnight fasting and is recommended by the Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Group of India (DIPSI).
This is a single-step test. This test is generally advised during the second or third trimester; however women having a family history of diabetes and/or obesity, and those following a sedentary lifestyle may be recommended early in their pregnancy.

Interpretations
A blood sugar level of 140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L) or higher may indicate gestational diabetes.
